CZ is not a typical business but rather a type of special club that everyone can come and enjoy. We are not open every weekend. Typically, every other Saturday or Sunday. We encourage everyone to look to our playing calendar on our events page or our multimedia streams (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). Changes to an event will be posted on our FACEBOOK pages the morning of the event.
Although we are not open every weekend, this is an opportunity for our players to travel to other fields as a team member or guest of our CZ-Phoenix team.
Players must be 10 years of age or older to play on their own. They can play younger as long as they have guardian supervision and have been approved by a field official.
And because we get this question so much we have another FAQ below to talk about this a little more for you.
CZ is here for everyone and will always welcome walk-ons.
Everybody of every age, race, sex, creed, background, pronoun, orientation and even alien status is invited to participate and play with us.
All players must sign a waiver and abide by the field rules and stipulations. (We even have our own girls team)
All players must wear proper safety equipment. FULL SEAL eye protection, face masks or enclosed helmets only. No Mesh or Shooting glasses for anyone. (Proper Eye Protection and Helmets are available).
We have been seeing a newer version of shooting glasses that are para-military styles that have a full wrap to the eyes and wearing these are a case by case situation. In the end you take responsibility for not using designated safety equipment.
If you don’t have the gear CZ can provide it.
For clothing it is highly recommended to have gloves and boots (or good shoes). If you are over the age of 18 a face mask is not mandatory but strongly suggested to avoid mouth and nose injuries.
We get asked this question so much and it’s one of the hardest questions to address to give anyone the most direct answer. CZ has over 1000 members on our Facebook page and other media sites and depending on the weather, events occurring around us, traffic and at times the setting of the moon it’s really hard to say. We have played with as little as 10 and as many as 99.5 players. No matter how many come out we are going to have a great day. On average if you just have to have and answer is to say we average 30-50 players on a perfect day.
There will be a minimum of 10 players no matter what- how’s that?
We play all year. 12 months strong.
We will play in just about any weather condition. Here is our general rule. Unless it is a direct downpour lightning, hail, heavy snow, ice, over 101 degrees or under 10 degrees we are going to be out there. If you the player wants to get out there we are going to try and make that happen.
If for some reason we have to call a day it will be done through the Facebook event with a warning the night before and a decision 2 hours before check in time. This is also why you should sign up for our Facebook site to keep updated on all the latest news.
As explained in the FAQ above (age Restrictions) but because we get this question so much here it is one more time. You must be at least 10 years old to play so long as a parent or guardian is available at or on the field should anything happen that needs attention. We have accepted younger players and every situation/physical ability and maturity level is different for everyone. We have seen some adults that need supervision and some younger players lead the way. The first test however for any young player is the getting shot test (by the parent or guardian) to get on the field.
